- Many domestic and overseas smart farming companies and individual farms are building vertical farming and indoor cultivation facilities, as well as developing and commercializing related technologies, but the majority can only cultivate and produce leafy vegetables like romaine, lettuce, and herbs, raising concerns about low economic return on investment (ROI). ASK invests in developing cultivation facilities and systems tailored for Korean strawberries, addressing the profit problem, which is a significant weakness of smart farm (vertical farming), as well as expanding business areas such as overseas export of Korean strawberry varieties and technology transfer. Through our collaboration with the K-BTS Consortium, we plan to establish a pilot facility for year-round cultivation and manufacturing, set to be completed in 2024. International partnerships from Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia are crucial in this endeavor.
