Summary Throughout its long history, mankind has made various efforts to solve food, clothing, and shelter while standing at the top of the Earth's ecosystem. As a result of these efforts, today's splendid and complex civilization has been formed. The most fundamental issue among food, clothing, and shelter issues was the issue of food, which could guarantee the survival of mankind. To solve the problem of food security, humans have raised livestock, hunted animals, captured fish, and grown crops. Development of agricultural methods to grow crops that provide beneficial food for humans without harming human survival. Great progress has been made in the field of agricultural management. As a result, technology is developed to overcome changes in the natural environment and grow crops using natural resources under human control, thereby improving crop productivity by conserving and controlling sunlight and solar heat in greenhouses and glass greenhouses. has been developed. This makes it possible to innovatively improve crop productivity by growing crops (hydroponic cultivation) by supplying nutrients directly to crops without soil using artificial light and artificial heat rather than natural sunlight and solar heat. The development of these technologies has made the crop cultivation environment free from natural disasters compared to crop cultivation in soil (land cultivation). Additionally, this technology has made it possible to produce crops that are safe from pests and pesticides. This technology has the advantage of enabling eco-friendly crop cultivation that does not require environmental pollution, while also seeking to innovatively improve crop productivity. This technology was established as a ‘Plant Factory’ concept and has been studied for a long time in Europe, the Americas, Japan, and Korea.
